HIGH VOLTAGE FUSES

High Voltage FusesThese specifications are for single cartridge General Atomics Energy Products high voltage fuses rated for a maximum of 22kV.  Typical values of self-inductance for each fuse cartridge range from 150 to 250 nH, however in high voltage circuits, the total inductance associated with the fuse is primarily governed by the bus inductance.  Custom fuses and protection circuit assemblies are available for uses beyond the specifications of these standard models.

  • The standard line of General Atomics Energy Products high voltage fuses consists of protection devices which act as rapid and reliable circuit-interrupting and fault current limiting components to protect high energy, high voltage circuits in industrial electrical systems. These fuses consist of conducting fuse elements arranged in a low-inductance configuration and embedded in a granular, high resistivity filler material, all contained in a reinforced cylindrical case.

  • Standard fuse cartridges are 2 3/8" in diameter by 12" long (nominal) with threaded stud connectors on each end
